Do any of these descriptions resonate you?
A parent of a child struggling with behavioral problems (i.e. grief, trauma reactions, big emotions, divorced parents, bed wetting, ADHD, anger) and feeling helpless.
A teenager struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, eating, self-worth, friendships, or depression.
A young adult navigating life on your own--possibly going to college or moving out for the first time. Struggling with identity, self-worth, faith issues, relationships, past trauma, anxiety, depression, communication with parents, and in need of some coping skills and support.
You've come to the right place.
The phrase above, 'toward wholeness', is significant because I believe that all of our lives are fragmented and messy in unique ways. We don't get to choose our life circumstances or what happens to us early in life, but we are responsible for working to grow, heal, and become as 'whole' as possible this side of heaven. Counseling is one of the avenues through which God can help this occur. As in a mosaic, each piece by itself is beautiful and serves a purpose, but the pieces make much more sense when they are strategically arranged to create a pattern or image. Counseling can help to make sense of the pieces and work to fit them together.
There are times when we can't quite make sense of what God is doing in our lives or wonder why He would allow certain things to happen to or around us. As described in The Shack, circumstances can appear messy and incomprehensible while in the midst of them, but as we get a bird's eye view, we can see a beautiful "fractal" taking shape.
I might not know all the answers to your problems, but I will be faithful to help you wade through the questions and hurt and seek direction.

Types of counseling I offer:
I have an eclectic approach to counseling and will tailor interventions to meet my clients' individual needs.
I will often have snacks in my office for clients. I also try to incorporate things that interest you, such as art, games, music, or short videos that are significant.
I hold a Christian worldview, which greatly influences the way I view and treat people, how I see good and evil interacting in the world, and where ultimate hope and Truth come from. I will incorporate faith conversations into sessions to the extent that clients are comfortable with. I also work with people who are not Christians and am respectful of their differences.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy interventions
- Trauma-focused: I offer EMDR to process through trauma. This can be done online
- Mindfulness techniques
- Body-based calming and grounding techniques
- Art interventions
- Play therapy--CBT, child-directed, Adlerian
- Parent training--I use elements of Conscious Discipline, attachment theory, The Incredible Years program, and teaching you to do play therapy with your child.
